Since completion this October, the Mangrove Cay Club has taken its place among the very best bonefishing properties in the Caribbean. The lodge is located near Moxey Town, just beneath the Middle Bight on the east side of Andros Island.
The Fishing The fishing here promises to deliver on what Andros is best known for: excellent numbers of bonefish averaging 4 pounds with daily shots at fish in the 7-10+ pound range. Though there is plenty of great fishing within 15 minutes of the lodge, it is also practical to access the wilds of the South Bight and even the west side. We cannot honestly imagine a more strategic location for an Andros lodge.
The Accommodations The ideally-situated lodge facility at Mangrove Cay Club is abundantly comfortable and features 8 spacious air-conditioned ocean-view rooms, each with sitting room, private bath and screened-in porch. The recently hired chef is well known to us and is excellent.
How To Get There Fly commercially to Nassau, New Providence Island, Bahamas from many US gateways. There is twice daily Bahamas Air service from Nassau to the Moxey Town airport. The lodge is just a five-minute drive from the airport.
There are no set arrival and departure days at Mangrove Cay Club.
