Welcome to the Miramichi Experience!
For four generations our riverside, adventure lodge has offered the classic fly-fishing experience to fisherman from around the world seeking the challenge of wild Atlantic Salmon and Brook Trout. Today this proud tradition continues.
The king of sport fish, the wild Atlantic Salmon lives in our backyard!
The Miramichi River is one of North America’s healthiest and most prolific rivers for wild Atlantic Salmon and the flora and fauna that nurtures them. Our 16 private salmon pools are our treasures, and are available exclusively to our guests. Accomodations:
Guests of Pond's relax with the sounds of the river close at hand. Whether it’s our historic Old Lodge or a private riverside, log cabin each of our accommodations sits on the grassy banks of the Miramichi River.
One and two bedroom cabins, each with private bathroom, are equipped with woodstoves, private decks and the ambiance of traditional fishing camps. The peacefulness of the river in well-appointed comfort.
The Old Lodge, built in 1927, has been restored throughout with pine and care and has five private bedrooms, two shared bathrooms and a great room with stone fireplace. It's the perfect location for a larger group.
Upriver at the Wilderness Fishing camp: fishing guests (maximum 6) share a rustic cabin complete with running water, bathroom and propane power and eat in a building designed for cooking and guides’ residence.
Fiddleheads Dining Room and Deck: Creative and hearty country cuisine is our culinary promise and we have a reputation of satisfying our guests. Every table in our licensed, 50 seat dining room and deck area enjoys a view of the Home Pool.
The Pub: Anglers Pub is located on the property and is open exclusively to private groups. A selection of single malt whiskies and cigars round out our pub offering of local beers, unique mixed drinks and full bar.
We offer a comprehensive wine list and full bar. Pond's is famous for our “Smoked Salmon Martini”, created by owner Keith Pond!

The Season's First Flies on the Water. in April!
The most traditional of all wild Atlantic Salmon experiences is angling in the high water of spring. Spring salmon have wintered in the Miramichi River and by mid-April, when the ice has retreated, they are ready to take the big, colorful flies of the spring salmon run, as the fish travel to the sea.
It's the first, welcome taste of fishing for many anglers each year and although the weather may be cool, the fish are abundant and available all along the river and welcome at Pond's Resort on the Miramichi is a warm one.
Spring fishing includes two, four hour sessions per day, personal Guide, canoe/boat as required, riverside accommodation in private, log cabin with woodstove and three meals per day in the licensed Fiddleheads Dining room.

$450 Cdn. per day Three days for $1200 Cdn. per rod

Summer Fishing : June 15 - October 15
The classic fly-fishing experience for the king of sport fish is our specialty!
We support complete Hook-and-Release angling in the summer run. More than 12 private salmon pools owned by Pond's and available for the exclusive use of Pond's guests offer a diversity of fishing. Our guides are professionals, certified and experienced and have all-important local knowledge of this river and the wild Atlantic Salmon that live here.
Summer Fishing includes two, four hour sessions per day, the expertise of a Guide, riverside accommodations in a private, log cabin with woodstove, three meals per day in the licensed Fiddleheads Dining Room.
Price per Day:
$600 Cdn for one rod per day, per Guide
$575 Cdn for two rods per day, per Guide
$550 Cdn for three rods per day, per guide

Wilderness Salmon Fishing:
Pond's offers the unique opportunity of a wilderness fly-fishing trip at a traditional fishing camp on the upper reaches of the Miramichi River with three private pools. Guests will enjoy the spirit of the river through an old-style 'Float' trip, traveling to the wilderness camp by guided canoe.
Price includes travel to and from wilderness lodge, two four hour fishing sessions per day, the expertise of a professional and certified Guide, accommodation in a rustic guest cabin with running water and private bathroom, three meals per day.
Price per day:
$650 Cdn based upon minimum of three days.
Minimum two people. Maximum six people.

The Experience of Classic Fly-Fishing
A Private School for Women.
Pond’s Resort on the Miramichi has been offering classic fly-fishing adventures since 1925 and women anglers are frequent visitors to the salmon pools of our river. For the last two seasons women from throughout North America have joined the fellowship of what they have dubbed "Broads with Rods"!
In June of 2008, the experienced Guides and fly-fishing instructors of Pond’s offer a unique three-day program, exclusively for women on the technique, the detail and the pure enjoyment of this sport. There’s no experience necessary, except for an enthusiasm to join the ranks of fly-fishers around the world.
Price per Student: $635 Cdn. plus host.
Price includes riverside accommodation in our traditional, well-appointed cabin or a room in the Old Lodge, all meals and Friday evening reception, all gear and tackle, instruction and guides... and memories for a lifetime.
Additional services available on-site include a Pub and Tackle Shop. Dining Room is licensed.
Transportation to and from Pond’s, tips for guides (discretionary) and fishing license are extra.
