Alaska's Rainbow Point Lodge - Iliamna, AK
Alaska's Rainbow Point Lodge - Iliamna, AK

This is the premiere destination for Alaska sport fishing. The Bristol Bay to Lake Iliamna drainage basin is the only designated area in the state of Alaska for fishing Rainbow Trout and is heralded as the best dry flyfishing anywhere on the planet.

When you are looking for an Alaska fishing destination we are in the only designated Trophy Trout area, and also have the largest run of Sockeye Salmon in the world which often runs into the 10's of millions of fish. We fish the largest run of King Salmon in the State of Alaska. So if fishing Alaska for Trout and Salmon is your passion you will not find a more productive area.

Alaska salmon fishing for Sockeye is painfully easy, and it is not uncommon to put on 40 to 50 salmon per rod per day. Alaska fishing for King Salmon starts in June and we experience great fishing through the third week in July. The Sockeye Salmon fishing starts the end of June and runs through August. The Silver Salmon fishing typically starts the first week of August and runs strong through the first week of September. In the rivers and streams that we fish for Silver Salmon our guests usually limit out within the first hour on the river and are forced to catch and release the rest of the day. These Alaska rivers also provide some of the most phenomenal flyfishing for Dolly Varden many of which are in the 5 to 8 pound range and some tipping the scale over 10 pounds. Pink Salmon and Chum Salmon arrive the second and third weeks of July and flood the rivers and streams of West Cook Inlet. While these are not targeted species they offer hours of tackle busting enjoyment. Fishing Alaska for Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike and Lake Trout is found throughout the summer months in our area.

This Alaska salmon and trout fishing lodge accommodates small groups and couples which assures our clients the flyfishing and spinfishing enjoyment that only fishing Alaska can provide.
