Alaska's Wilderness Place Lodge - Lake Creek
Alaska's Wilderness Place Lodge - Lake Creek

Wilderness Place Lodge is a deluxe fly-in Alaska fishing lodge located 80 air miles Northwest of Anchorage, Alaska on scenic Lake Creek.

Our Alaska fishing lodge is located on five private acres right on scenic Lake Creek, one of Alaska's finest freestone river fisheries. Our lodge is located just minutes from the very best Alaska salmon & trout fishing! Our unique location allows each fisherman to maximize their time on the river. We take pride in our 1 staff/guest ratio and high level of service to our fishing lodge guests.

The Fishing:

Lake Creek, our home river, offers some of the finest spin and fly fishing for all Alaska salmon species. Lake Creek is a mountain tributary running 60 miles North to South from its source at Lake Chelatna in the Alaska mountain range to the confluence of the glacial Yentna River. It is a dynamic, meandering river with many isolated islands, gravel bars, runs, and backwater areas. Lake Creek is easily fished by spin and fly fishermen alike and is typically done from the river bank, or wading out from mid-stream shallow areas.

Aside from lodge-based fishing packages, Wilderness Place Lodge offers week-long, guided, fully outfitted remote Alaska float trips. We raft the entire length of Lake Creek from the source at Chelatna Lake on the southern border of Denali National Park to the confluence at the glacial Yentna River. Our float trips give you the ability to explore a 60 mile wild & scenic stretch of remote Alaska. Stray from the crowds to view wildlife, and enjoy superb fishing for multiple salmon species, rainbow trout and arctic grayling.

The Accommodations:

Wilderness Place Lodge is a deluxe Alaska fishing lodge accommodating a maximum of 16 fishermen in 6 private riverside cabins.
