Eagle Landing Resort - Kenai Lake
Eagle Landing Resort - Kenai Lake

Rent your own cabin on the Kenai River

Cooper Landing, Alaska is one of the premier fishing and hunting destinations in the world. It is located at the west end of Kenai Lake and near the world famous Kenai River. Between 1848 and 1851, the Russian engineer, P. Doroshin, found gold in the area.

The Fishing:

Kenai Wildlife Refuge Fishing

  • Salmon, Trout & Dolly Varden
  • $265.00
  • 8 - 9 Hours on the water

A limited number of people get to fish the best waters of the river - the Kenai Wildlife Refuge.

Flowing down from its confluence with the world famous Russian River, the Kenai enters the refuge, winding through islands, gravel bars & back channels to find the highest concentration of wild salmon and native trout. This part of the Kenai is closed to motors and a favorite of fly-fishermen. Limited Entry.

    Fly-in Fishing

  • Salmon, Trout, Dolly Varden or Grayling
  • from $475.00/person and up
  • 5 - 8 hours on the water

The pinnacle of every angler’s dreams is to fly into Alaska’s wilderness for a day of great fishing. Get away from the roads & crowds for a day of light-tackle fishing in the high mountain lakes or try for a limit of salmon on a remote stream - all combined with some spectacular flight-seeing. Many destinations also offer bear viewing possibilities.

    Kasilof River

  • King or Silver Salmon
  • $265.00/person
  • 7 - 8 hours on the water

Some drift boats and a group of bank anglers fish this river each day. But, it is one of the Kenai Peninsula’s top producing King Salmon streams. A short drive from Cooper Landing gives you a chance at that once-in-a-lifetime giant King. The Kasilof River is closed to motorized boats.

Upper Kenai River Half Day Fishing

  • Trout & Dolly Varden
  • $175.00
  • 4 - 5 Hours on the water

The Kenai is one of the most popular and abundant streams in the world. This is the perfect opportunity for everyone to have a chance to fish it. We can always target rainbow trout and dolly varden and when the red and silver salmon are present, we will try for those. Beginners to advanced will enjoy this unique experience - fishing one of Alaska’s fabled waters. Fly, spin and casting rods are provided and we adjust the trip to each angler’s experience. Anyone hoping to catch a limit of salmon is better off chosing a full day trip as both red salmon and silver salmon are strong fighters and it takes some training to get you both hooking them and landing them.

    Fishing only Package

  • Salmon Trout & Dolly Varden
  • $995/person
  • 3 Day Package

Lots of variety, lots of fish, beautiful scenery. 3 days of guided drift boat fishing for Salmon, Rainbow Trout & Dolly Varden. We take you wherever the fishing is the best for your favorite species. Includes all licenses & tags, fish freezing, vacuum sealing & boxing. Perfect for those traveling by RV or staying at local B&B's.
