|Henderson Springs Lodge - Northern California
Henderson Springs is a 500 acre fly-fishing paradise located in the remote northern California wilderness. Four spectacular lakes and a 1/2 mile meandering spring creek offer some of the most exciting trophy trout fishing found anywhere. These catch and release waters are open only to our guests, ensuring a private and un-pressured fishery. Henderson Springs is a fly-fishing only resort (no spin or bait fishing). Back country fly-fishing here is a unique experience. Henderson Springs offers privacy and unparalleled exposure to nature ~ you are bound to spot soaring eagles, nesting honkers, turkey, quail, otter, beaver, deer, fox, or an occasional bear or mountain lion.
Lodge: A spacious and comfortable main lodge features 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 4 fireplaces, and a big screen TV. A magnificent 30 foot high rock fireplace in the living room provides the perfect setting for evening relaxation. Just outside, a huge deck overlooks a gorgeous meadow surrounded by mountain peaks and lush forests.
Guest Cabin: A unique beautifully hand-crafted cabin with a wood stove, a cozy downstairs bedroom with a double bed and full bath is also available to our guests. The open second floor has four single beds and a half bath. A fully appointed kitchen with a gas barbeque on the surrounding deck will take the rough out of "roughing it" for those who prefer being on their own.
Ranch Guests have two choices for enjoying their meals. For those who want their meals prepared for them on a "full service" basis can do so by having Marcia Rickert (530-337-6220) do the shopping, food preparation, and cleanup for a flat fee of $55.00 per person per day. Marcia has had a great deal of experience with food preparation and presentation on the ranch and does a fabulous job. This is her own catering business and those guests wanting to enjoy her services are invited to call her to make the meal booking. Groups may elect to do their own cooking in the fully appointed kitchens of the main lodge or cabin. The meal preparation can be as much fun as the fishing itself! In either case we are here to insure that you have a good time and all of your needs are met.
