The Fishing:

I have been guiding fly fishers here in Hawaii for the past 6 years after having spent the previous 20 guiding in Turangi, New Zealand for both trout & saltwater species. My son Joaquin has been fly fishing since the age of 4 and has been guiding here in Hawaii for the last 2 years. We pride ourselves on our uncanny ability to spot approaching bonefish long before 90% of our clients – increasing your chances of making the right cast. We concentrate on sight fishing whenever conditions permit.

Our style of guiding is the classic service with your guide by your side all day, making sure you get all possible shots at these giant fish. We fish all the flats on Oahu, using a kayak or small boat (licensed US Coast Guard Captain) to access some flats that are seldom fished. Our bonefish average 6 pounds, with many 8 to 10 pounders and the occasional 13 to 18 pounder. We practice strict catch & release here.

We can supply all gear at no charge - TFO rods, flies, etc. We do, however, recommend you bring your own wading boots as ours may not fit well. Don’t forget your polarized sunglasses, sun hat, & sun screen and be prepared to wade in our warm, tropical crystal clear waters all day.
