Subscribing & Managing Your Account

How can I change my mailing address?

Access your Account here to change your mailing address online at least 6 weeks before you need the change to take effect. We cannot be responsible for issues which the post office does not forward.

What if my issue arrives late?

If you’ve seen the latest issue of American Fly Fishing on the newsstand or elsewhere and have not yet received your copy, it’s probably on its way to you. If you do not receive your issue within a week or so, please log into your account through our Access your Account link, where you can review your subscription status and verify your address. If the problem remains, please contact subscriber services by phone or by email.

How can I subscribe to American Fly Fishing?

You may subscribe online or contact subscription services by phone or by email. Subscription orders can also be mailed to American Fly Fishing, P.O. Box 461686, Escondido, CA 92046- 9307 USA. Please allow 6 to -8 weeks for delivery of your first issue. American Fly Fishing is published bimonthly (every two months, six times per year).

Is it safe to subscribe, renew, pay my bill, and change my address online?

Yes. Our magazine uses industry-standard security procedures to protect the information you provide online. These procedures are intended to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we collect from you. We will not share your email address with anyone.

When will I receive my first issue?

Please allow 6 to -8 weeks for delivery of your first issue. American Fly Fishing is published bimonthly (every two months, six times per year).

How do I give a gift subscription to American Fly Fishing?

You may order a gift subscription online or contact our customer service staff by calling toll-free
1-800-406-4624. Gift subscription orders can also be mailed to American Fly Fishing, P.O. Box 461686, Escondido, CA 92046-9307 USA.

How can I renew a subscription to American Fly Fishing?

How can I pay the American Fly Fishing subscription invoice I received in the mail?

Why do I continue to receive bills after I have paid for my subscription?

Occasionally your payment and our invoice cross in the mail. If you continue to receive bills more than 6 weeks after your payment was sent, please let us know so that we can credit your account properly. If you ordered through a third-party agency, please check with them to make sure that your order was received and processed.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Please call, email, or return your invoice to us marked “cancel.” We will process your request immediately so that you receive no further bills from us. Occasionally your request and our invoice may cross in the mail. If you continue to receive invoices more than 6 weeks after you requested to cancel your subscription, please let us know so that we can ensure that your account has been adjusted.

Does my subscription automatically renew?

Subscriptions purchased online (as of July 1, 2020) have the option to enter our continuous service program, eliminating additional unwanted renewal notices. Please see your emailed confirmation receipt or contact customer service to confirm if your subscription will automatically renew.

For continuous service subscriptions, American Fly Fishing will send you a reminder notice approximately one month before charging your credit/debit card at the rate and term in effect. If your credit/debit cannot be charged, we will bill you directly instead. You may cancel at any time and receive a full refund on all unserved issues.

How can I sign up for electronic bills and renewals?

Subscribers not wanting to receive mailed bills and renewals (also known as snail mail) can log into their account here and sign up for paperless renewals. It’s that easy and allows us to keep our subscription rates lower than they would otherwise be and protects the environment.

How can I purchase back issues in print?

American Fly Fishing maintains an extensive inventory of all back issues ever published, including those from our former regional titles (Northwest Fly Fishing, Southwest Fly Fishing and Eastern Fly Fishing). Back issues can be purchased at our online store.

Digital Subscriptions

How do I access my digital subscription?

All paid subscribers have instant access to literally thousands of articles from both American Fly Fishing and all the former regional titles. There is no other collection of fly-fishing content available anywhere that can come close to rivaling our digital offerings: just use the steps below to set up digital access to all this incredible content. Once your login credentials are established, you can access four different collections (American Fly Fishing, Northwest Fly Fishing, Southwest Fly Fishing, and Eastern Fly Fishing), all from the same Web Portal here. Please note that access to each collection uses the same login credentials.

Please follow the steps below to set up your Digital Access and start using the archive.

  1. Access your Account here and follow the directions for entry into your account.
  2. Once into your account, click the link titled “Manage your Digital Access,” enter or update your email address, and create your password.
  3. After setting up your login and password, simply go to the Web Portal and start enjoying access to the archives.

I forgot my password. How can I reset my password to regain access?

What devices are compatible with the American Fly Fishing Digital Archive?

The web portal is compatible on any device with access to the internet. The web portal archive includes digital optimization technology that will recognize your device and calibrate the content for optimal viewing.

I’m a digital, or print + digital subscriber. What does digital access include?

Digital only subscriptions include unlimited access to the entire American Fly Fishing digital archive for as long as your subscription is active. Subscribe here.

Print + Digital subscriptions include the print magazine delivered to your door (six times per year), as well as unlimited access to the American Fly Fishing digital archive for as long as your subscription is active. Subscribe here.

I subscribed from the App Store or Google Play, what does my access include?

Subscriptions purchased from the App Store or Google Play includes full access through your Apple and Google Play accounts using our free mobile apps. Please contact Apple or Google Play support for account, billing, and digital access inquiries for subscriptions purchased through them as we do not have access to your records or purchases. Please note that access to the web portal is not available to customers who subscribed through Apple or Google Play, but those who purchased through American Fly Fishing will have access to the mobile apps and web portal. The web portal offers the best digital experience, so we strongly recommend subscribing through us.
